Jackie has led such a diverse life it’s like reading an interesting book with each chapter leading to new horizons. As a young girl she grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from high school and then set out on the challenge of obtaining her college education. Jackie put herself through college while working full time managing two retail stores simultaneously. She earned her Bachelors degree in Business Administration at Baldwin-Wallace College. She was on the Dean’s list and graduated in the top 10% of her class. She visited Asheville for the first when she was in college and fell in love with Asheville’s beauty and charm. She knew then that someday she would live in Asheville.
Her life adventures began after college when she moved to Los Angeles and became CEO of an air charter company that chartered private jets to celebrities. The company’s clients included three U.S. Presidents, astronauts, rock stars, professional athletes and movie stars. Always eager to learn and experience new things, combined with her love of animals, she became a Certified Exotic Animal Handler. This training involved working with lions, tigers, bears, leopards and elephants.
In 1994 the Northridge earthquake destroyed her home and she and her fiancé decided to relocate to Scottsdale, Arizona. She began a new career in Spa Management at the Ritz Carlton and the Hyatt resorts. After the unfortunate, early and untimely death of her fiancé she searched all things spiritual and became a massage therapist and taught yoga and anger management classes to at risk youths in jail.
In the next chapter of her life she came full circle back to Asheville. When she began her real estate career she once again tackled her career full speed ahead with her business savvy and her overwhelmingly positive spirit. She has the heart of a lion and an angel combined. Jackie specializes in new home on-site sales and loves the excitement of seeing a new development from an initial vision to a finished neighborhood. She especially appreciates the close relationships she forges with the new homeowners. She has taken the most recognized training in new construction and received the (CNHS) Certified New Home Specialist and (RCC) Residential Construction Certified professional designations.
Animals have always been a priority in her life in all of the places she has called home. She has done volunteer work with wildlife rehabilitation and horseback therapy for physically and mentally challenged children. Jackie remains active in volunteering with animal shelters and homeless pet adoption. She has two rescue cats of her own. When time allows, travel is her one of her favorite passions. Jackie has visited over 30 countries on six continents including Greece, Egypt, Jordan, Brazil, Japan and Taiwan. Yoga, reading, movies, dining and hiking complete her personal picture.
