Moving to Charleston, SC from Columbus, OH in ’90 and missing the fall season that first year, my hubby and I wandered up toward Asheville to see fall colors….a little lost we rounded a curve and found ourselves in the most amazingly beautiful place we’d ever seen, and incredible as it was, we found even more unbelievable beauty around each and every new bend in the road.

 

After our first visit we returned every chance we got…we came for a month, weeks, weekends, sometimes even for just one day…. we were beckoned and called….we just couldn’t stay away. Finally in 2001 we sold our chain of fast food restaurants and settled into our cozy 1926 cabin. We had so much fun sharing the beauty and quality of life in this area with family and friends we opened The Arbor Cabins & Cottage, still operated by my husband today.

 

With so many of our friends and guests coming here to buy property.…it was just a natural progression to become a NC Real Estate Broker. It was a marriage made in heaven and, since that time, I’ve never looked back.

 

This area speaks to one’s soul and nothing I’ve ever done, including my background in corporate finance, international marketing communications & public relations, sales tracking and analysis, restaurant ownership, or even our delightful Arbor, brings any more pleasure and satisfaction than sharing in the delight of those for whom I’ve found the perfect home or parcel of land.…or, for providing sellers with the most professional service and extensive marketing available to anyone, anywhere, anytime.

 

In addition to serving on the Lake Lure Lakefront Owners Association Board, I have served on the board of The HNG Chamber. I am very active in civic and community affairs, was a member of The Hickory Nut Gorge Kiwanis, serving as secretary for three years, and working on several community committees. It’s like we’ve finally come home. In my spare time I hike, play guitar & sing, “sometimes even on mountaintops”, and swim in the lake with my adorable “fur-child” Gus, whom you’ve probably seen around sporting his life vest.
