LISA JACKSON

At first meeting with Lisa Jackson, you will not help agreeing that she is a very attractive woman in every way. Gentile, organized and methodical, Lisa is impressive.
What you won’t know when you first meet her is her very diverse and interesting background! Lisa spent her first year of life in Ohio, and has lived in Asheville all the rest of her life. That should qualify her as an official native.
She graduated from Asheville High School in 1979 and started traveling with her family’s NASCAR race teams at age 12 and working in the business at age 15. Now here is the surprising part! Starting at age 17 ,from 1979 to 1982, she was a driver and competed in what is now known as the NASCAR Busch Series racing on tracks in Asheville and Hickory, NC. She was the only female driver in the series at that time. She regularly qualified and finished in the top ten of race events. Drivers in the series included Dale Jarrett, Jack Ingram, Andy Petree, and Bob Pressley.
Lisa went on to become Vice President of Operations, for Jackson Motorsports, Inc., in Denver, N.C(outside of Charlotte). Lisa enjoyed an exciting career in development and management of sponsorships for the race team and her clients included Pontiac, SKOAL, Turner Network Television, Time Warner, the Hughes Network, EA Sports, and Ingles Supermarkets. She coordinated national public relations programs for the team including network TV, national radio and national print. A highlight during that time period included developing and implementing a program through the race team with John Walsh and the “America’s Most Wanted” television program to aid in the finding of missing children.
Eventually, Lisa needed to care for her beloved family and the weekly travel to the NASCAR events did not fit into her life anymore. Having had a love for real estate for years she began conquering the world of real estate by contracting renovation of historical buildings on N. Market St. in downtown Asheville, and went on to design and contract two custom homes on Town Mountain in Asheville.

Lisa’s success in life is a direct result of her high energy, positive attitude and her honest caring. Always up to a challenge, she enjoys all the outdoor activities this area has to offer whether mountain biking, and snow and water skiing.
