Interest:
Favorite thing to do is to ride a bicycle. Has experienced mountain bike racing and does on occasion enjoy mountain biking, but primarily is a "roadie". Does enjoy charity or other types of challenge rides of 100K or 100 miles or more. Loves the outdoors and camps, hikes, visits unique places and finds the Outer Banks of North Carolina a perfect place to rest, bike ride, and play. Enjoys attending many types of events, such as sporting events, concerts and other performing arts. Reads a great deal. Mostly non-fiction, history, political and biography. Considers Clancy, Ludlum and Forsyth great fiction reading. Extremely active in the community and in civic affairs.
Background:
Native North Carolinian from Belmont, NC (near Charlotte). Grew up in small textile town, attended South Point High School and worked in grocery stores, heavy construction and textiles through high school and college. Attended Appalachian State University, Graduation with both BA and MA. Very active in public service prior to going into real estate with Beverly-Hanks & Associates. Continues to be very active in both civic and community affairs.

** Personally Invested in the "Multi-family" market offering a direct personal understanding to these types of investments, these include actual hands on management, on renovation of buildings and houses as well as design and new construction of apartment buildings.
